LPAEF's Flagship Project
SPACE DREAMERS STEM CAMP
The story of Space Dreamers STEM Camp began with one extraordinary six-year-old scholar named Naomi, who dreams of becoming an astronaut. Already two grades ahead and inspired by Dr. Mae Jemison, this child reminds us that brilliance knows no boundaries — but opportunity often does. Our camp exists to change that.
Through robotics, rocket launches, virtual space missions, and mentorship from real scientists and astronauts, we are helping students from rural and underserved communities see themselves not just as dreamers, but as builders, leaders, and future pioneers of space exploration.
Currently, LPAEF is working with a team of engineers, educators, and space industry professionals to turn this dream into a reality.
Impact of Space Dreamers STEM Camp... Addressing the Need!
-
Students often don’t see STEM careers as “for them”
-
One story can change a trajectory – our camp creates that story!
-
Not just a one and done type of camp; continuous mentorship and opportunities
-
Together, all stakeholders can turn rural and underserved dreamers into tomorrow’s innovators, scientists, and astronauts, close the opportunity gap, and create a generation of STEM leaders from places that are often overlooked!
